Dog Harness safety sleeve
|
Here you will find how to use my safety sleeve. I wanted to also advise you to always check not just my clothing but any
clothing or leashes that are used for safety purposes. I take great precautions to be sure my apparel is put together to last.
But as with anything even store bought apparel things can happen. So please take a moment before trusting what you are
attaching your furbaby to and make sure everything looks OK. All of my harnesses are very well made. I not only sew over
and under the D ring. I also run it around the back of the harness so that it is being sewn through all layers of fabric. I go
over above the harness several times. I sew over the D ring in at least 3 places and go over these 3 places several times also. I
am extremely picky about my furbabies and would not sale anything that I would not use for my own.
This material goes all the way
around the harness and is
sewn in very well. This is
where you slide the dogs
collar through for added
safety.
Here you see the collar cover
in the safety sleeve. You slide
the collar through the collar
cover and insert it all into the
safety sleeve. I make the
collar covers because many
times the harnesses and
certain collar do not line up
exact and this way if the
collar shows under the
harness at all everything still
matches.
Here you can see the inside of the
harness where the collar is attached to
the harness using the safety sleeve. As
you can see even if the velvro was to
come loose from the dogs neck the
collar is still attached to both the harness
and the dog. I came up with this idea to
avoid the bulky collar on the outside of a
pretty delicate dog harness dress. This
was you have the safety without taking
away the beauty of the dog harness
dress.
You can see here that the
material goes all the way
around both sides and on
the girls you see the bows
hide where it has been sewn
and a D ring is added.
